Choosing the best day to cast a spell
To the witch, each day of the week has its own unique magic and power and by tapping into these specific energies we can increase the power of our spell work. For example, if you want to cast a spell for success and prosperity, it is best to do it on a Thursday: the day associated with Jupiter the planet of power and luck. This does not mean you cannot cast a money spell on a Tuesday, what is means is the energies associated with each day of the week will make your spells more powerful than if they were cast on a different day. And as a witch we should do everything we can to make our spells more effective.
The seven days of the week are named after Gods and Goddesses who were worshipped by the Old Tradition, it is amazing how these traditional names of days have survived since the dark times. According to modern Wicca, all seven days of the week have different attributes and represent a certain element. It is up to you how you use this information, but by doing so you can enhance your magic and bring a positive change into your life. Day of the week correspondences are just a single layer on which we can build our magical timing, allowing us to ensure the success of our workings and magic
The seven-day week was first introduced by ancient Egyptians who assigned the name of a planet to each day. As the ancient Egyptian’s only knew seven celestial bodies, we now have seven days of the week. But all this has a deeper meaning not only within Wicca.
Here is a short guide that will help you correspond certain days of the week with your magical workings, this will help you achieve your magical goals by drawing in that particular energy.
