Colour Healing – How To Heal with Colours

When healing with colour, you are giving the body that is ailing an extra dose of any colours lacking. Because colour is a natural element, colour healing is something anybody can do without danger to the person they are healing. It is very similar to hands on healing, where energy is directed into the body. When a particular colour is used, the vibration of that colour is being absorbed into the body to heal any imbalance. The red end of the colour spectrum stimulates while the blue end calms.  Light is energy travelling in the form of waves and each colour has a different wavelength.

Directing the Colour

As colour is the most important aspect, you may use anything that produces coloured light, this may be cellophane, coloured glass, plastic, or you could use coloured light bulbs. You may work with sunlight or artificial light, if you are using sunlight, tape a sheet of paper, coloured glass or cellophane over the window and seat the patient in such a way the coloured light falls directly on them. If you are using coloured lamps or lights, make sure the colour is directed at the person you are healing. You may use anything that projects light onto the body, including a torch with cellophane taped over it. A photographic slide projector and some empty cardboard slide mounts can be used, you place rectangles of colored plastic so that you have a set of slides of the seven primary colours. Concentrate on the colour going into the body for around 20 minutes per session.

Colour-Charged Water Healing (Hydrochromopathy)

You can turn ordinary water into potent tonic by charging it with colored light. Fill a clear bottle with water and wrap a sheet of coloured paper around it, or you may use a coloured bottle, then stand the bottle in the window for at least one hour. The water will be charged even if the sun is not shining directly on the bottle, when you drink the water you are absorbing the healing properties of the particular colour. This can be done to give you a lift or to calm you down, depending on the colour you use.

Distant Color Healing (Grapho-chromopathy)

Color can be used to do absent healing with the use of a photograph, this is sympathetic magic. There must only be one person in the photograph and you should be able to see the area that requires healing. Choose the colour you will be using and place the photograph under the light, a low wattage coloured bulb is suitable for this type of work. If you are using a plain light bulb, wrap the photograph in coloured cellophane, the photograph may be placed flat on a table or in a frame, focus the light for one hour at a time.
